A Thousand Years is a song by Christina Perri written for the movie Twilight in 2011. The song was written about the love affair between Edward and Bella.

This version of the song is in B flat major, meaning that there are two flats- B flat and E flat. This means that the player cannot use the open E string and instead must use the low fourth finger on the A string. This key also calls for low first fingers on D, A, and E strings.
